![]() ![]() I think we agree on what Slack/IRC-style chat is for: short messages, intended to be shared synchronously with whomever happens to be present at the time. I agree that mixing mediums is dangerous, but I think this notion creates a false dichotomy. ![]() It’s the mixing of these two different mediums that causes pain in the extreme cases. impermanent, like Slack’s default plan where only the last 10k lines are even searchable. Well, they should be real chat rooms, e.g.
